Kelsey Spring #3 is a 5.1-mile loop hike in the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness, part of the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated moderate, with a total elevation gain of 257 feet from a low point of about 5,891 feet to a high of about 6,666 feet. The route is a loop, and the climb is gentle, so the one-way gain of 257 feet is the figure to keep in mind. Horses are allowed, and bikes are not. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Bellemont show May highs around 68°F and October highs around 64°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 12 to 13 a month. Nearby, Little Lo and Little L.O. #6 are both about 0.6 miles away. Sycamore Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 2.7 miles off, and White Horse Lake Campground is about 5.7 miles away.
