The Acropolis is a climbing area in the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness, part of the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits within designated wilderness. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Oak Creek Canyon show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 74°F, while July and August average about 90°F. The area has 13 routes, all but one of which are trad, with grades ranging from 5.7+ to 5.12. Among them are Acropolis - North Face (5.7+), Peter's Ladder (5.9) and Olympiad (5.10b/c). The closest climbing areas are Lower Mt Wilson Wall, Submarine (Steamboat) Rock and Octopus's Garden, each about 0.1 mile away. For an overnight stay, Chavez Crossing campground is about 3.5 miles off.
