Moby Dick is a bouldering area in Phoenix South Mountain Park, on city land in Phoenix, Arizona. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Jaws Boulder/Pringle Wall, Snow White Boulder and Public Enema Roof all about 0.1 mile away. The name Moby Dick is a natural fit for a bouldering area, and the route list here includes a climb called Moby's Dick, which is rated V8-9. The climbing is all bouldering, with six routes spread across the V0 to V8-9 range. The most straightforward is Party Otter Supreme at V0, and the hardest is Moby's Dick at V8-9. Pequod is V4, and Whale Arete is V5-6. The area is best suited to climbers who enjoy bouldering on a single crag rather than a long approach. Winter and early spring are the most comfortable times to visit.
