The Hualapai Mountains climbing area sits in the Kingman Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management in western Arizona, about 4 miles from Wild Cow Springs Campground. It is a designated climbing area with eight routes, including three bouldering problems, three trad routes and two sport routes. Grades run from about 5.7 to 5.10b/c on the YDS scale. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 76°F and October highs near 73°F, while July highs average about 92°F and winter lows drop to the low 20s. Several routes stand out. Fox Tower is a sport route graded 5.7, and Buns in The Sun is a trad route at 5.9. Lefty Loosey and Righty Tighty, both trad, top out at 5.10a and 5.10b/c.
