Godhead South is a climbing area in Arizona on county land, within a proposed open space unit. It sits in a cluster of climbing areas that include The Face of God, Heaven's Gate and Glade Wall, all about a tenth of a mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Superior show April highs around 78°F with lows near 55°F, and October highs near 84°F. That station sits roughly 1,100 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures here run cooler. The area has four climbing routes, three of which are trad and one is sport. Grades range from 5.7 to 5.10c. Cherubette is 5.7, Cherubino is 5.10, and Goddamn Rock is 5.10c. All are first-ascents by climbers including David Sampson and Arjun Heimsath. Oak Flat campground is about 2.5 miles away, and the Legends of Superior Trail is about 2.9 miles off.
