The Block is a climbing area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits right next to Lakeview Campground, about 0.1 mile away, and the Wood hike starts about 0.2 mile off. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 67°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 10 to 13 a month. Lakeview Campground is the closest place to stay, and the Lakeview Connector hike is about 0.3 mile away. Within a few miles you'll also find the Lake Mary Recreation Corridor for fishing and the Cove Wall climbing area.
