Son Tower is a climbing area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and mountain biking spots, with the Pit (aka Le Petit Verdon) and the Oven both about 0.1 mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Walnut Canyon put May highs around 71°F and October highs around 67°F, while July and August run hotter and wetter, with highs in the low 80s and more frequent rain. Marshall Lake, about 3.5 miles away, and Lake Mary Recreation Corridor, about 4.3 miles away, offer fishing. Lakeview campground is about 7.2 miles away.
