Aegir is a climbing area in Arizona's Coronado National Forest, on the Santa Catalina Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits about 1 mile from Spencer Canyon, a nearby campground. The climbing here is a mix of sport and trad routes, with 12 of each style and a single mixed route among the 25 listed. The grades run from 5.8 to 5.14-, with the median around 5.11+. Sport climbers will find Starfish at 5.11+ and Soul Deprived at 5.14-. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Lemmon run from about 71°F highs and 51°F lows in May to 75°F and 59°F in September. That station sits roughly 600 feet lower than the area, so temperatures at Aegir run a little cooler. Neptune and Poseidon, two other climbing areas, sit about 0.1 mile away. South Park is about 0.9 mile off, and Red Ridge Trail #2 offers mountain biking about 0.9 mile away.
