The Anvil Boulders is a bouldering area in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Fire Wall and Free Willy/Lazer Cut Boulder each about 0.1 mile away. The boulders hold 10 routes, all rated on the V scale from V1 to V9. The easiest are Bear Claw Rocketeer at V1 and Poncho at V1-2, while Mars Attacks is the hardest at V9. The routes are all bouldering, and the area is best suited to climbers who want to work on a range of grades in a single outing. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 79°F, while July averages climb to about 97°F. Chavez Crossing campground is about 2.4 miles away, and Munds Wagon #78 is about half a mile off for a hike. Huckaby, a mountain biking spot, is about 0.3 mile away.
