Pumpkin Patch is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Tucson Field Office of Arizona, about 6 miles from the Ft Huachuca Pioneer Airfield weather station. It sits among several other climbing areas, including Vineyard, Whippersnapper Wall and The Farmhouse, all within about a tenth of a mile. The climbing here is all sport, with eight routes ranging from 5.7 to 5.12c. The easiest is A Nightmare on Crack Street at 5.7, and the hardest is Tales of the Grip at 5.12c. The median grade is 5.11a. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb. Typical averages from the nearby weather station run from highs around 77°F in April to 79°F in October, while June and July average highs in the low 90s. For a change from the rock, Mine Canyon is about 5 miles away, and Wild Cow is a little farther at about 6 miles.
