King is a climbing area in Arizona's Coronado National Forest, on the Santa Catalina Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits within a cluster of climbing spots. Knight and One Day Wall are both about 0.1 mile away, and Lorax & Ball Return is just as close. The climbing is sport, with one mixed route, and grades range from 5.10 to 5.12c/d. The easiest routes include King of Slots at 5.10 and Serfs up at 5.12-. The hardest is Kings Arete at 5.12c/d. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Lemmon Willow Canyon show highs around 62°F in April and 68°F in October. That station sits about 1,300 feet lower than the area, so temperatures here run cooler. Gordon Hirabayashi Campground and Sycamore Reservoir are both about 1.5 miles away, and Molino Basin Group is about 2.2 miles out.
