Hot Loop is a mountain biking route in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The ride is an out-and-back of about 1.6 miles, with a total elevation gain of 577 feet from the low point at 4,066 feet to the high at 4,477 feet. The climb is rated hard, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.5 miles in, with a 15% grade. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona show October highs around 79°F with lows near 51°F, while July highs average about 97°F. The Hot Loop #40 hike starts just 0.1 mile away, and Hot Loop A #40A is about 0.6 mile off. Climbers can head to Oak Creek Spire and Courthouse Butte, both about 3 miles away.
