Big Park Loop is a short out-and-back mountain biking route in Arizona's Coconino National Forest, within the Red Rock Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the loop sits at about 4,200 feet, with a high point of 4,285 feet. The route is 0.98 miles long, and it gains about 137 feet of elevation before returning to the start. The climb is steady, with the steepest stretch around 0.38 miles into the ride, where the grade reaches about 8 percent. It is a moderate ride, and the total elevation gain and loss are each about 137 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona show October highs around 79°F and April highs around 75°F, while July highs average about 97°F. Several other destinations lie close by. Belt Rock Pathway #96 and Bell Rock Pathway are both about 0.4 miles away, and Middle Trail is a similar distance. Courthouse Butte, a climbing area, is about 0.7 miles off.
