Slavin Gulch is a hard hike in the Douglas Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona, about 6.6 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 1,402 feet. The trail starts at the Slavin Trailhead, which has a parking area named Slavin Trailhead, and it is an out-and-back route that climbs from a low point of about 4,829 feet to a high of about 6,237 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Tombstone show April highs around 79°F and October highs around 81°F, while July and August average highs in the low 90s and bring the most wet days of the year. The trail is natural-surface and bikes are allowed, but it is not an accessible route. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. Climbers will find Slavin Gultch about 0.1 mile away and Me and Ewe Crag about 0.2 mile away. For more hiking, Smith Hill Trail is about 1.8 miles off, and Cochise Stronghold campground is about 4.6 miles away.
