Pima West Loop Trail is a 1.5-mile loop hike in Phoenix South Mountain Park, Arizona, on city land. It's an easy walk that gains about 190 feet in elevation, with the low point at 1,357 feet and the high at 1,524 feet. The trail is open to both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and equestrians as well as hikers. It makes a compact outing, with the trip estimated to take about half an hour. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically the cooler ones, when typical averages from the Phoenix Sky Harbor airport weather station, about 4.6 miles away, run in the mid-60s to low 80s. Winter months there see highs near 68 to 71°F, while summer highs climb into the mid-100s. The trail sits close to several other routes. Pima Wash Trail and the Desert Classic Trail are each about 0.1 mile away, and the Pima East Loop is about 0.2 mile off. For climbing, the Pima Canyon Area is about 1.1 miles away.
