Perimeter is a hard out-and-back hike of about 11.8 miles in Arizona's Coronado National Forest, within the Sierra Vista Ranger District. The route gains about 578 feet, from a low point of 5,110 feet to a high of 5,546 feet. The trail is natural surfaced and open year-round, and bikes are allowed. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run around 75°F in April and 77°F in October. Summer brings highs near 92°F and more wet days, peaking at about 14 in July and August. The trailhead is called Miller Canyon Perimeter, and the nearest parking is at that name. Within a short distance are the Powerline and Miller Creek Link mountain biking routes, and the Clark Spring hike is about a mile away. For an overnight stay, Reef Townsite Campground sits about 2 miles off.
