Lower Miller Canyon is a moderate hike in the Sierra Vista Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona, about 3.9 miles long with a total elevation gain of 1,358 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, starting at a low point of about 5,071 feet and reaching a high of about 5,711 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, around 0.46 miles in, with a grade of about 11 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 77°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 13 and 14 a month. Bikes are allowed on the natural-surface trail. The Miller Canyon Trail #106 and the John Cooper hike both start about 0.1 mile away. Hunter Canyon, a mountain biking route, and Clark Spring are each about 0.6 mile off. For an overnight stay, Reef Townsite Campground is about 1.2 miles away.
