The Karen Cooper Trail is a 6.7-mile out-and-back hike in Arizona's Coconino National Forest, within the Flagstaff Ranger District. It rises from a low point of about 6,900 feet to a high of 7,111 feet, a climb of about 200 feet, and is rated moderate. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 68°F and September highs around 74°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 11 to 13 a month. Several routes lie close by. The Arizona National Scenic Trail and the Arizona Trail-Flagstaff are each about 1.4 miles away, and South Babbitt Drive is the same distance. Climbers can find Buffalo Park about 1.8 miles off.
