Yellow Bluff is a climbing area in Alabama, about 1.7 miles from the town of Lynntown. It sits right next to Right Side Cliff, another climbing area just 0.1 mile away, so the two make an easy pairing for a day on the rock. The area has seven routes, with sport climbing the most common style. The grades run from 5.5 to 5.10b/c, and the hardest route is the Hero Route. Among the named routes are Float, a trad climb at 5.5, and Out on a Limb, a sport route at 5.9. Just enough is a boulder problem at 5.8-. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Huntsville show October highs around 76°F with lows near 52°F, and April is similar at about 75°F by day and 51°F at night. Summer is hot, with July highs averaging about 92°F. Paddlers can find Cotaco Creek about 4 miles away and West Fork Cotaco Creek about 4.9 miles away. Town Creek is roughly 5.5 miles off.
