Meredith Trail is a short, easy hike in Lake Guntersville State Park in northern Alabama, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail is about 0.7 miles long and rises roughly 394 feet from its low point of 610 feet to a high of 1,045 feet. The full out-and-back route is about 1.4 miles, with a total climb of 925 feet and a steepest stretch of about 23% at around 0.6 miles in. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 73°F with lows near 53°F, and April is similar at about 72°F by day. That station sits about 450 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler. The trail sits close to several other routes. Lake Guntersville State Park National Recreation Trail and Lickskillet Trail are each about half a mile away, and Bootlegger Trail is about 0.6 miles off.
