Cache La Poudre Wilderness

Cache La Poudre Wilderness encompasses 9,516 acres of pristine backcountry in the Front Range of Colorado, offering a compact but rewarding alpine experience. The wilderness preserves rugged terrain along the Cache La Poudre River drainage, with elevations ranging from approximately 8,000 to over 11,000 feet, featuring steep canyon walls, mountain meadows, and coniferous forest. This area provides excellent opportunities for backcountry solitude, with numerous trails offering access to high alpine basins, cascading streams, and dramatic ridgelines.
