Home on the Range Rock is a climbing area in the Laramie Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing spots, with The Bunker and Boat Rock both about 0.1 mile away, and The Schoolyard at a similar distance. The area is a cluster of routes rather than a single climb, and its name is listed as temporary. The climbing here runs from trad routes on the easier end of the scale up to a 5.13+ trad route called Home on the Range, with a sport route, Coyote Pretty, at 5.9. The YDS grades for the trad routes range from 5.5 to 5.13+, and the boulder route is listed at V10. The area also has a boulder route, so climbers can mix styles. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Laramie show July highs around 81°F with lows near 52°F, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. That station sits about 800 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures up high run cooler. Vedauwoo Campground is about 1.9 miles away, and the Regolith Trail and Green Mountain Trail are each about 0.7 mile off.
