Stone Temple Circuit is a 3.8-mile loop in Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming, managed by State Park and Recreation. The route starts and ends at about 7,270 feet, with a high point of 7,669 feet. It is a moderate ride with a total elevation gain of 406 feet and a total loss of 583 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about half a mile in, with a 10% grade. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Hecla put July highs around 81°F with lows near 52°F, and the station sits roughly 1,000 feet below the route, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Ferguson, a mountain biking spot, is just 0.2 miles away, and Hidden Falls, a hike, is 0.3 miles off. Rock N'V, another mountain biking area, is 0.4 miles away.
