Exfoliator is a short, steep mountain biking route in Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming, managed by State Park and Recreation. The nearest town is Hirsig, about 2 miles away. The ride is an out-and-back of roughly a quarter mile, with a total climb of about 350 feet, and it is rated expert. The route starts at about 7,590 feet and reaches a high point of about 7,617 feet. The steepest stretch comes within the first 0.05 miles, with a grade of about 11 percent. Because the climb is short, it works well as a quick addition to a longer day on the park's mountain biking network. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Hecla put July highs around 81°F with lows near 52°F, while temperatures at the higher elevation of the route run cooler. Several other mountain biking routes sit about 0.1 mile away, including Slip 'n Slide, Broke Bike Mountain and Bone Collector. Climbers can head to Campjack Rocks, about 2 miles off.
