Kate's Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming, managed by State Park and Recreation. It is an out-and-back ride of about 1.3 miles with a total elevation gain of 157 feet, so the one-way climb is about 78 feet. The trail starts at 7,448 feet and reaches 7,505 feet, and the steepest section comes early, at about 0.18 miles, with a grade of about 6 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 81°F with lows near 52°F, while winter highs stay in the upper 30s. Several other trails sit close by. Finn's Forest is about 0.1 mile away and Rock N'V about 0.3 mile. Campjack Rocks, a climbing area, is roughly 1.7 miles off, and Vedauwoo Campground is about 7 miles away for an overnight stay.
