Skyline Trail is a mountain biking route in the Jackson Ranger District of Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits about a mile from the town of Jackson and is a short, out-and-back ride of roughly 2 miles, with the start at about 7,778 feet. The trail rises to about 7,876 feet, with a total climb of 765 feet over the round trip. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.88 miles in, with a grade of 16%. The route is rated hard, so plan for a challenging ride rather than an easy one. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Moose weather station, which sits well below the trail, show July highs around 82°F with lows near 44°F. That station runs cooler than the trail's higher elevation, so expect temperatures on the trail to be somewhat lower. The Snow King Nature Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Shade Monkey and South Fork Leeks Canyon are both within a mile. For an overnight base, Curtis Canyon Campground lies about 6 miles off.
