Gold Standard is a mountain biking route in Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming, managed by State Park and Recreation. The route is about 2 miles long and runs as an out-and-back, with a moderate climb that rises about 500 feet from a low point of 7,365 feet to a high of 7,614 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.4 miles, where the grade reaches 8 percent. The most comfortable months for riding are typically July and August, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run around 80°F for highs and 50°F for lows. That station sits about 900 feet lower than the route's high point, so temperatures up top run cooler. Several other mountain biking areas sit close by, including Stone King Play Area about 0.1 mile away and Gold Watch at 0.3 mile. Climbers can head to Campjack Rocks about a mile off, and Vedauwoo Campground offers camping roughly 6 miles away.
