Alder Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in the Laramie Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 0.12 miles from the start point, with a total climb of 33 feet over a 0.24-mile out-and-back route. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.05 miles in, reaching a high point of 8,632 feet before returning to the low point of 8,583 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Laramie show July highs around 81°F with lows near 52°F, while winter highs stay in the low to mid 30s. Blackjack and the Lower UW Trail both sit about 0.1 miles away. Pole Creek Group Campground and Tie City Campground are within half a mile for overnight stays.
