Watch Top is a bouldering area in Coopers Rock State Forest in West Virginia, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Make Due and Eye Brow Boulders each about 0.1 mile away and Step Roof about 0.2 mile off. The area is best suited to boulderers, with two bouldering routes listed: Midnight rumble at V3- and 40 degrees of Heaven at V4. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Morgantown run to highs around 74°F in May and 77°F in September, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. That station sits roughly 650 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. The closest trails for a walk are the Clay Furnace Trail, about a mile away, and the Rhododendron Trail and Mont Chateau Trail, each about 1.1 miles off.
