Skittle Top Boulders is a bouldering area in Snake Hill Wildlife Management Area in West Virginia, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Lower Skittles Boulders about 0.1 mile away and Pipsqueak Boulder and Nemesis Boulders each about 0.2 mile off. That makes it easy to link with other boulders in the same corner of the area. The boulders here run from V5 to V8, with six routes in total. Fingers Roasting Over an Open Fire is V5, American Chestnut is V7, and Dead Vert Project is V8. Most of the routes were established by Andrew Leich around 2020. September is a comfortable time to visit, with typical highs near 77°F and lows near 56°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station. October cools to typical highs around 66°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures up high run a little cooler.
