Roadside Boulder is a climbing area in West Virginia, about 1.7 miles from the town of Sand Hill. It is a small, roadside spot rather than a large crag, and it works well as a short stop for climbers already in the area. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Wheeling weather station show May highs around 74°F and September highs near 79°F, with September also seeing the fewest wet days of the year. Other climbing is close by. The Northern Panhandle climbing area is about 7.6 miles away, and Bear Rock Lake Bouldering (Wheeling) and Popcorn Boulder are each about 7.9 miles off.
