Rhodo Cave is a bouldering area in Coopers Rock State Forest in West Virginia, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, with several other boulders and trails within a short distance. The area is built around bouldering, with 18 boulder problems covering a range from V1 to V11. Most of the routes are in the V5 to V6 range. Among the named ones are Backbreaker at V5-6, Stigmaria at V6 and Like Drops of Blood at V11. The first ascents of some of these routes were done by Andrew Leich in 2020 and 2021. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Morgantown run to highs around 74°F in May and 77°F in September, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the cave, so temperatures at the boulders run slightly cooler. Several other spots are close by. The Wall is a hike about 0.2 miles away. The Furnace Area Boulders, The Grunge Boulder and the Kurt Cobain Memorial Wall are all within about 0.3 miles.
