Lower Broadway is a climbing area in the Potomac Ranger District of West Virginia's Monongahela National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. It sits within a cluster of climbing areas that includes Upper Broadway and Southwest Corner, both about 0.1 mile away, and it makes an easy addition to a day spent on the surrounding rock. The area has nine routes, eight of which are traditional and one mixed. Grades range from 5.3 to 5.10a on the YDS scale, with Highway To Hell at 5.10a standing as the hardest. Sir Thomas and Lady Elaine are among the more straightforward options, with first ascents dating back to the 1970s and 1990s. For timing, September is the most comfortable month, with typical highs around 77°F and lows near 51°F. These are typical averages from a nearby weather station at Franklin, which sits about 370 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures on the rock may run slightly cooler. Seneca Shadows campground is about 1.4 miles away, and the Pipeline Trail and Seneca Rocks Trail are both within a third of a mile.
