34D Wall is a climbing area in West Virginia, about 0.7 miles from the community of Judy Gap. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Nelson Rocks and Crescendo Wall each about 0.1 mile away, so it works well as part of a day spent exploring the surrounding crags. The area offers a mix of sport and trad routes, with 10 routes in total. Grades run from 5.2 up to 5.11-, and the hardest of them, Missing Ramsey, is a sport route at 5.11-. The 34D route, a trad climb at 5.10b, is one of the named options. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 74°F and September highs around 77°F, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. Paddlers can head to the North Fork South Branch Potomac River, about 1.4 miles away, and Wrangler Meadow Campground is about 2.6 miles off for an overnight stay.
