Sun Sail Boulder is a bouldering area in Washington's Forks of the Sky state park, within the Skykomish Ranger District of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The land is managed by State Park and Recreation, and the boulders sit right beside the Corridor of Funlandia and Sasquatch Boulders, both about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with six routes ranging from V0 to V4. The most straightforward is Hamster Dance at V0, and Lead Anchor is the hardest at V4. Sun Sail, the namesake route, is a V3. The area is a compact cluster of boulders rather than a long route, so a single visit can cover several problems. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Baring weather station show July and August highs around 77°F with only about seven wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and frequent snow days. Heybrook Lookout campground and the Heybrook Lookout Trail are about 1.8 miles away. Trout Creek, a paddling spot, is about 4 miles off.
