Main Face is a climbing area in Washington's Oak Creek Wildlife Area Complex, land managed by State Fish and Wildlife. Spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to climb here. Typical averages from the Yakima #2 weather station, about 15 miles away, show May highs near 74°F and September highs near 79°F with lows around 51°F. That station sits roughly 900 feet lower than the crag, so temperatures at the wall run cooler. Midsummer highs at the station average 88°F in July and August, and winter highs drop to around 40°F. Main Face sits within a tenth of a mile of three other climbing areas: Orange Sunshine area, Underclass Overhang and Working Class Wall. The Tieton Nature Trail is just as close, and the Naches River is about 2.5 miles away for paddling.
