Loser's Ledge is a climbing area in Washington's Oak Creek Wildlife Area Complex, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. It sits among several other climbing spots, including Underclass Overhang, Working Class Wall and Main Face, all about 0.1 mile away, and the Tieton Nature Trail, which is also about 0.1 mile off. The climbing here is all sport, with five routes ranging from 5.10a to 5.11b. Johnny Coal Roller is the easiest at 5.10a, and Rich & Rare is the hardest at 5.11b. The routes were first climbed by Walter Jordan and Kemper Brightman. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yakima show May highs around 74°F and September highs around 79°F, while July and August average about 88°F. That station sits about 600 feet lower than the ledge, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. Windy Point Campground is about 5 miles away, and the Naches River offers paddling about 2.4 miles off.
