Hourglass Boulder is a bouldering area in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington, managed by the Forest Service. The name comes from the Hourglass boulder, one of several boulders in the cluster. The area is a short walk from the closest climbing neighbors, with Couch Boulder and The Sword/Underwear Rock both about 0.1 mile away. For an overnight, Bridge Creek Group Site sits about half a mile off, and Fourth Of July Creek Trail is roughly a mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the routes run from V0 to V12. Eight routes make up the area, with The Hourglass and The Prism among the more established choices. Cole's Corner Low is the hardest at V12. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Leavenworth put May highs around 71°F and September highs around 78°F. That station sits well below the boulders, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler.
