The Dikes is a climbing area in the Walla Walla Ranger District of Umatilla National Forest in southeastern Washington, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of trails, rivers and campgrounds, with the Walla Walla Ranger District and Umatilla National Forest as its land units. The area holds 26 alpine-style climbing routes, with grades ranging from 5.5 to 5.10c/d. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Wallowa, Oregon, put July and August highs around 88°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days.
