The Airfield is a bouldering area in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington, about 2.3 miles from the Leavenworth weather station. It sits among several other climbing areas, with Whutza Point and Coyote Corner each about 0.2 miles away. The area holds 16 bouldering routes, ranging from V0-1 to V10. The easiest are The Croissant and Landing Gear, and the hardest is The Shadow, a V10 boulder first climbed by Johnny Goicoechea. Tombstone Direct is a V5. The routes are all bouldering, so there is no climbing on rock faces. Summer is the warmest stretch. Typical averages from the nearby Leavenworth station show July and August highs around 87°F with lows near 50°F and only about three wet days a month. Winter is cold, with January highs around 34°F and lows near 19°F. The closest trails are Bruce's Boulder Trail and Snow Lakes Trail, each about half a mile away. For an overnight stay, Eightmile Group Site is about 2.2 miles off, and Bridge Creek Group Site is about 3.1 miles away.
