Old M/L is a short out-and-back mountain biking route in Washington, sitting just a quarter mile from the start. The ride is only about half a mile long, with the high point at 1,393 feet and the low point at 1,216 feet, so the total climb is a round trip of about 176 feet. The steepest stretch comes early on, around 0.16 miles in, at a 13% grade. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Friday Harbor put July and August highs in the low 70s and lows around 50, with only six to eight wet days a month. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures here run cooler. The route sits far from any town, with Prevost about 20 miles away. Several other short trails start within a tenth of a mile, including T Road, YBA Roadie and B Road. Chicken Run II is about 0.3 miles away.
