M-One is a short, rolling out-and-back mountain biking route in Washington, about 0.6 miles long and roughly 100 feet of elevation gain one way. The climb starts at about 1,288 feet and reaches a high point of 1,317 feet before returning to the low point of 1,178 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about half a mile in, with a grade of around 13 percent. The nearest town is Prevost, about 20 miles away. The route sits among a cluster of other mountain biking roads, with D Road, Lower Tea and Old M/L all about 0.1 mile away. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Friday Harbor show July and August highs in the low 70s with only six to eight wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on 14 to 16 days. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the climb run cooler.
