C-8260 is a short mountain biking route in Washington, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits about 0.2 miles from Twin Peaks, another mountain biking spot, and is part of a cluster of numbered routes in the area. The climb is an out-and-back of about 0.38 miles, with a total gain of 30 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.13 miles, where the grade reaches 11 percent. The route is so short that it works well as a quick addition to a longer ride. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Olympia show July and August highs around 78°F with only about five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly 20 days a month. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Twin Peaks is the closest neighbor at 0.2 miles, and Slide is about 0.3 miles away. C-8220 and Waddell Basin West are each about half a mile off.
