Slide is a short, low-elevation mountain biking route in Washington, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It is an out-and-back ride of about 0.3 miles, with a total climb of 73 feet from a starting point at roughly 1,524 feet to a high point of about 1,532 feet. The route is so brief that it works well as a quick stop or a warm-up before heading to other trails in the area. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Olympia show July and August highs around 78°F with only about five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly 20 days a month. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Twin Peaks and Divide Trail South are both about 0.4 miles away, and Twin Peaks Access is about 0.6 miles off. For paddling, North Fork Porter Creek is about 3.4 miles away.
