Devil's Kitchen is a bouldering area in Virginia's National Park Service lands along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, about 1.3 miles from McAfee's Knob. The land is managed by the National Park Service, and there is no fee to visit. The climbing is all bouldering, with two routes in the V2 to V4 range on the V scale. Reagan's Nose is the easier of the two at V2, and Reagan's Ass is the harder at V4. For timing, the most comfortable months are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Roanoke show May highs around 76°F and September highs around 79°F, while July averages about 86°F. That station sits several hundred feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures up here run cooler.
