Steep Mountain is a summit in Utah, about 2 miles from the town of Draper. It sits close to a cluster of hiking trails, which makes it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the hills around town. For timing, the most comfortable stretch is late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Timpanogos Cave run from highs around 78°F with lows near 52°F in June to highs around 76°F with lows near 50°F in September. That station sits a few hundred feet below the summit, so temperatures up top tend to run a little cooler. Winter is much colder, with typical January highs in the mid-30s and lows in the low 20s. Mo-mentum Trail and Lehi's Dream Jump Trail both lie about half a mile away. The Red Rock climbing area is roughly 1.8 miles off, and Mountain Shadows RV Park, about 2.8 miles away, offers a place to stay nearby.
