The Dog Pound is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Kanab Field Office in Utah. It sits among several other climbing spots, and the surrounding area is managed by the BLM. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 79°F and October highs around 72°F, while July averages climb to about 96°F. Buckskin Gulch, Hammer Wall and Carrot Buttress all lie about 0.1 mile away. For a longer outing, the Buckskin Gulch Trail is about 3.9 miles off. Stateline Campground, roughly 5.5 miles away, offers a place to stay.
