Shady Crag is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Moab Field Office in Utah, about 5 miles from the Arches National Park headquarters. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Buttress Two (Bond Buttress) just 0.1 mile away and Deadman's Buttress and Shipyard, The within half a mile. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 72°F, while July averages near 99°F. Pothole Arch Trail, a mountain biking route, is 0.7 mile away, and Rockstacker Trail is 0.8 mile away. For an overnight stay, Gold Bar Group Sites and William's Bottom Campground are both within about 3 miles.
