Cannonville Area is a climbing area within Kodachrome Basin State Park in Utah, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among the park's network of trails, with several routes set in the same corner of the state park as the Panorama Trail and Shepherd's Loop Trail, both about 0.3 miles away. The climbing here is all trad, with seven routes ranging from 5.7 to 5.10d. The easiest is Nonplussed on Dust on Crust at 5.7, and the hardest is Breakfast of Mutton at 5.10d. Trickster and Shooting Blanks fall in the 5.8 to 5.9 range. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 74°F and October highs around 68°F, while July averages about 91°F and January highs sit near 45°F.
