Whirlwind Trail is a 2.2-mile out-and-back mountain biking route on Bureau of Land Management land in the Moab Field Office in Utah. The trail rises about 230 feet from a low point of 5,497 feet to a high of 5,729 feet, and it is rated moderate. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 65°F, while July averages about 91°F and winter brings highs near 37°F with a few snowy days each month. The trail sits close to several other routes. Wildcat Trail and Hildago Trail are both within a third of a mile, and Chisholm Trail is about half a mile away. For an overnight stay, Horsethief Campground is roughly 1.4 miles off.
